The tide comes in

Even in a cultural backwater the tide comes in and floats all boats. A wonderful, high end gallery relocated from a chic Galveston locale to up and coming Elgin, Texas. The Bremond House Gallery is opening in a century old storefront on Main Street. The owners were kind enough to sign me on and show a handful of my paintings. Anyone in this neighborhood should stop by. It is at the only traffic light in the historic district.
Now I need to get busy painting. Thanks to all my DA friends who provide inspiration.

I am not a sculptor and have never tried it. Those devs that look like sculptures are life castings. Just curious, why do you ask? Also, thanks for liking my humble offerings.
They are very well done. I only ask because I was trying to be a sculptor and a complete amateur I am. How did you get into Casting n e way?

Your gallery is honestly a sight for sore eyes. It is a shame you live so far, I would love to pose for a portrait.
You are too kind. Many thanks. Perhaps someday...

Thank you so much. That means a lot, especially coming from such an amazing artist as yourself. Your gallery is truly inspiring!

If you don't mind me asking, did you study art in college or anything like that?
Not in college, I was a chemistry major. I first took a drawing class, spent four years practicing then took painting classes from an atelier. Don't expect academics to teach squat about producing art, only about talking about art. The old maxim, "If you can't do, teach. If you can't teach, teach teachers". Are you thinking about art school?
